The skies opened this weekend and poured down rain as hard as I've ever seen before. And, the rain started just as Barry and I had our fire burning nicely Saturday evening just before we put our "Hunter's Stew" on it to cook. Barry saved the day by actually holding an umbrella above the fire to keep it from going out. Our dinner turned out wonderfully... even though we were completely drenched.
Thankfully, the rains stopped just in time for the "Illumination" evening at
The Woods... everyone was able to put out their camp-supplied "luminary-bags" to line all the roads in camp and I think that most people were able to put up their decorations as planned. It was a beautiful evening.
Barry and I worked on our site in the afternoon and put together a beautiful white entranceway. Here's what it looked like:

We also put a "plasma light" in the camper window, which I thought was really cool... I think we should keep it there all the time.

I took a bunch of pictures of the campground... here's some of the better ones. (Unfortunately, I couldn't find my tripod, so they are only hand-held and not as clear as I would have liked... but you get the idea.)
( Pictures! )Too bad it rained so much... but we had a good weekend and watched a few videos and TV and relaxed.
