Boston, here I come! ... Plus, several end-of-week memes

Well... Barry and I are going to Boston. At least I think we are... 95% sure... I think we're both kind of shocked at the "last-minute" spontaneity of it... I truly am not a very spontaneous person... but sometimes sometimes I am... and I really am so excited about going to Boston with Barry. We'll be staying with a friend of Barry's. Who knows what excitement the weekend will hold for us. I think we're going to get on the road tomorrow at 6am. (ugh, 6am!?) Unless Barry needs to work... I don't have an update yet... but I'm just playing by ear at this point and I figure I'll know once we reach Boston (or not). I sent off an email to jasereraser and kev_bot -- wonder if they will be my first non-local LJ friends that I meet?

So, as I get ready to leave the office... I was catching up on my LJ friend's postings and I noticed several meme's that have been going around... so I figured I'd do three of them... ( Here's the results... )

Boston, another weekend... ?

Just got off the phone with Barry... His friend said weather is not supposed to be good in Boston this weekend, and something about some big football game on Sunday that may cause traffic/riots (like Red Sox something-or-other, I'm so clueless when it comes to pro sports). Needless to say, he doesn't want to go. I think there are other factors (not involving me BTW), so I think we're going to postpone the trip. I was really looking forward to it... so I'm still holding some hope that we may go. If we don't, we may go somewhere else... I'm still bringing my suitcase with me to Barry's... just in case. So, although I'm marking the mood of this post as "disappointed", I'm still hopeful, and I know that whatever we do we'll make the best out of the weekend.
